The CTBT entry into force still needs ratification by 8 States

According to the dispositions of the Treaty Article XIV, the CTBT will enter into force when the 8 following States (called Annex II States) will have ratified it: China, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea), Egypt, India, Iran, Israel, Pakistan and the United States.
The CTBT entry into force is a priority for France regarding nuclear disarmament.
